Phoebe Bertram is boring, bland, and unexciting. She works a job that is inadequate of her abilities. She has a boyfriend that is tolerable but mostly a dud. She is on the treadmill of her life and doesn’t know how to get off.
With changes in her job and her apartment going condo, she must find a new place to live. Her friend Meghan brings her to the perfect apartment and the moment Phoebe steps in the door, she knows there is something special and atypical about this perspective residence.
What she never expects are the three ghosts that arrive on her couch to teach her how life is really meant to be lived.
I received a review copy of the House on Plunkett Street from the author Lorena Bathy. I have read two of her other books which were both a great read so I knew this would be another one of the books that I must read.
In my opinion the book started off a little slow but by page fifty she had me hooked. The story consisted of real-like characters who all taught lessons that any woman can easily relate with. While being informative this book also had lots of twists and turns. So, just when I thought I knew where the story was heading it would abruptly redirect its path to help keep it interesting.
Overall, I was able to learn quite a few things myself from this fictional story and I recommend this as a book for all women to read. House on Plunkett Street can help you find the inner you that you never thought was there.
