Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. The new Hot Dots Let’s Master sets are for grade levels Pre-K to Grade 3. Each grade specific two book set is chock – full of important skills that children need to master at each grade level in reading or math (each set is specific to either reading OR math). The sets all come with a Hot Dots interactive pen and there are 100 lessons on either math or reading and language art skills. Fifteen of the 100 lessons are challenge activities that prepare children for skills at the next grade level. Each set is $24.99 and is currently available exclusively here.
If you are a regular reader of my blog, you are aware that my oldest son is preparing for school. To get him ready I have as much education stuff as possible ranging from The Leap Pad 2, the talking chalkboard, and now Hot Dots. I will tell you that my son is four and sometimes he can be stubborn when it comes to doing educational things so I have to make sure that when it is educational time that he is doing something that is going to appear to be fun to him. Well, Hot Dot’s has been a hit with him. The kit does not include batteries so before purchasing this you want to make sure that you have some. However, once the batteries are in your child is good to go. I have used this set with my son and he is able to do it on his own. Some of the things felt a little advanced for him as we have mostly been working on his reading and writing and not much math yet but he was open to learning new things. Overall, if you are looking for a way to jump start your child’s education Hot Dots Let’s Master Reading and Math Sets by Educational Insights would be a good place to start.
