Most baby eczema shampoo manufacturers focus on the extra ingredients in their products, things like too many fragrances, bright colors and exotic botanical essences or extracts. Too many kids shampoo products contain ingredients that may irritate a child’s sensitive skin and scalp, for those with childhood eczema, cradle cap or infant sebhorreic dermatitis – allergic reactions and skin rashes are too common.
When it comes to ingredients, the two worst offenders are SLS and CAPB – both have been shown to cause irritation and CAPB has a reputation as a potential allergen. If your child has sensitive skin or a sensitive scalp make sure to check the shampoo label to avoid these two ingredients, along with other unnecessary additives and harsh chemicals – why take risks?

This year I found out that my youngest and oldest son has eczema. I have switched both of their soaps to Aveeno and their lotion to Eucerin. However, I have not been able to find any shampoos for eczema until I ran across Exederm.
My youngest son is always having his eczema flair up on his arms. I assume it is because of the shampoo which is Johnson & Johnson touching his skin when his hair is washed. Since he has been using Baby Eczema Shampoo by Exederm he has not had any flair ups lately; so this is a product that I would say is good for babies with eczema.
I love how this Eczema shampoo contains no fragrance and is tear free. It is great for my one-year-old son. Exederm has other eczema products available too. Therefore, I will definitely be checking them out for both the younger and older son to help keep their eczema under control especially since the warmer months are approaching rapidly.
Overall, if your child or even you suffer from eczema I would recommend that you check out Exederm for the ideal product for you.
