When you become pregnant and after you give birth, your body is going to change. However, you have to remember that the tummy pooch and boob rearrangements are not as important as the little bundle of joy that you have brought into the world. However, during this age in time we are very sensitive about our appearances. Therefore, today I am taking the time to show all of the moms out there who may not be feeling very sexy right now how to love your post baby body.
Do Not Pay Attention to the Media
The media makes it seems like we are supposed to have a baby and go back to our post baby shape within a couple of days. We are not celebrities. Instead, out jobs is to make sure that we are healthy and that our babies are too. If you have the media in your head, this is not going to happen. So, avoid looking at the celebrities who have recently had babies it is just going to make you stressed because those expectations are not possible in reality. We do not have personal trainers and nannies on call. Our job is to put our baby first, and trust me they are not thinking about your post baby body. They love you for you.
There are so many women in the world who would love to experience having a post baby body but they cannot. Therefore, you should be thankful that you were able to bring a child into the world. In fact, take some time right now to think about five things that you love about your body. I have three boys and I can tell you right now what I love about my body (1) my eyes (2) my legs (3) my nails (4) my smile and (5) my hands. Now what are yours?
Make Time to Cater to Your Body
When I say this, I am not saying go to the gym the next day after having a baby. Instead, I am saying do something relaxing. Maybe take a hot bubble bath when the baby is taking a nap. Go get a Mani or Pedi, or if you have the skills, give yourself one. Do yoga, play your favorite sport. Just do something to cater to your body and make sure to take deep breaths when doing so.
Take Some Photos of Yourself
I loved my pregnancy and post pregnancy body. No one could tell me anything. My boobs were full and huge and I had some junk in my trunk. Take photos of yourself looking like this you will not look this way again so you need to enjoy it. The best part is this is the perfect time for photos because you will have the “pregnancy glow”.
Hang Out With Your “Cool” Friends
Hang out with your cool friends who are not calorie counting or dieting. Just spend some time getting some laughs in to put your mind elsewhere. It will take your mind off your body and you may find that you friends will compliment your curves and wonder how you managed to get them.
How did you love your post baby body? Feel free to share in the comments section below.
