If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know that I do not live too far from Busch Gardens and I am a Season’s Pass Holder so I tend to go there a lot. Well, on Friday HowloScream started and they had a blogger preview so it was something that I just had to try. Last year I went to HowloScream on several occasions and it was such a blast that I could not wait to see what Busch Gardens had in store this year.
NOTE: Busch Gardens is a family friendly park. However, when it starts getting dark during HowloScream season it is time to take the little ones home as it may become a little scary for them.
What Giveaways 4 Moms Experienced
While at HowloScream, I was able to watch the Monster Stomp on Ripper Row Show at the Globe Theatre, experience 13: Your Numbers up Maze, experience Cutthroat Cove & Deadline, and I had my face painted. Additionally, I rode on the Verbolten for the first time and I have a shocking photo that proves it.
What’s New This Year at HowloScream
Busch Gardens is always changing things up and this year you can look forward to Igor’s Fright Feast, Monster Stomp on Ripper Row, Vampire Vogue, and Wendigo Woods.
The Monster Stomp on Ripper Row
My first time going inside of the Globe Theatre was earlier this year for London Rocks. I know that this theatre is unique especially when it comes to special effects. Therefore, I was a little nervous when walking inside because I had no clue what was waiting for me. I will say that this show is not for young children. Surprisingly some families brought their infants and toddlers. This is not something I would recommend though. The show is a musical but it is trendy, upbeat, and definitely a must see.
13: Your Numbers Up Maze
This maze has thirteen phases to it. You never know what you are going to encounter in each room or when someone is just going to jump out from the dark. They definitely got a few screams out of me but the experience was still fun.
Cutthroat Cover is another haunted maze. This one is full of pirates. There are thrills waiting for you as you make your way through the maze.
Deadline is a maze that is set up in the Escape from Pompeii. There was a long wait to get through the maze but it was definitely worth it.
Okay, so this is not HowloScream related but it was my first time getting on this ride so I just had to include it. I know it journeys through the black forest yet for most of the ride, my eyes were closed. It is a quick ride but there is lot that goes on during the ride. At one point, it felt like the roller coaster dropped to another level. If you have not tried this ride, it is definitely a ride for you to experience the next time you go to the park.
