Overall, we need more books like Motivate Your Child to help parents develop strong characters in their children that will last them their entire lifetime. This book does not aim to make parents feel as though they are bad parents and have a lot of improving to do like many similar books on the market. Instead, it shows you how you can be a better parent and provide your children with the skills that they will need to be successful in life.
Our kids look up to us as role models, they mock the behaviors that they see from us. Being a parent is not an easy job because we always have to keep our kids best interest in mind; it is no longer about what we want to do.
Motivate Your Child differs from other parenting books because it does not bash parents for the things that we are doing wrong. Instead, it points out things that we could do to improve the parenting experience. For example, it shows common parenting mistakes that hinder conscience development, how to build internal motivation, and how to choose words carefully, among other things.
With this book, you are able to see real time examples so you can easily relate to the struggles that come along with being a parent. While the book is showing, you how to motivate your child to do specific things it is also motivating you as a parent to not give up on your kids. It is a book that I feel that all parents can benefit from reading, regardless of the age of your children.
