Among Facebook mothers, there are true Wonder-Women of Motherhood. They have great recipes, adorable kids and the best craft projects. However, there are those other moms. You have seen their posts; you know, the ones that make you roll your eyes so hard that they nearly roll out of your head?
“I’ve had ONE KID! Of COURSE I’m an Expert!”
Just because you’ve given birth does not mean you are suddenly an expert on everything child-related! You are not a doctor, scientist or lactation expert just because you’re a mom. Yes, it’s an important role. No, it doesn’t make you an expert (unless you really are an expert; in which case, your advice is welcome)!
“It Was the Most Horrific Delivery, EVER!”
Seriously, sweetie, no one wants to hear that your labor and delivery was something worthy of a awesome slasher film. We don’t need to know that your bundle of joy created an opening that a semi-truck could drive through. Some of us have very good imaginations, and that’s not an image we need.
“Well, MY Baby is the Cutest!”
Okay, yes, we all understand that you believe your little one is absolutely the most awesomely cute thing ever born in the history of the whole planet! However, just think for a moment that other moms may very well (and justifiably) believe the same thing. Relax, not every kid needs to be the face of Gerber.
“Aww, Wook at the Cute Wittle Mess Baby Made!”
No. Just, no. Whether it’s potty training woes or diaper blowouts that could be in Guinness’s Book of World Records, the poop can stay off your Facebook wall. Seriously. Please.
“Mia Fell out of the Tree and Her Head’s Bleeding; What to DO!?”
Don’t worry about stopping the flow or getting her to the doctor; snap a pic and post it on Facebook! Moms, Facebook is not a medical clinic. Get your kid some medical help before you start making posts about it.
No One is Perfect
Every mom makes mistakes. Nevertheless, honestly, not everything in your kid’s life should be posted on your wall.
What is one of the most bizarre things you have seen a mom post on Facebook?
