If you are in Virginia, make sure you get over to Busch Gardens this weekend to check out the Food & Wine festival. My friend and I had the chance to go on the very first day and it was an enjoyable experience.
What to Expect
Once you pay to get in the park or use your season pass you have access to the festival. However, for tastings you can expect to pay between $3-$7. I will tell you that it is definitely worth it!

The first thing my friend and I experienced upon arriving to the festival was scotch tasting. I had never tasted scotch before so this was a real unique experience. During the tasting, we were able to learn more about the scotch too. I learned that scotch is too strong for me but the experience was fun.
After the scotch tasting was finished, we headed over to Asia to taste some food. This is highly recommended by the both of us, especially me as I am in love with Asian foods. The lettuce wrap, Mushi-Gyoza, and Ginger and Lemongrass Custard tasted amazing. However, my favorite part was the Thai Tea.
During the tasting, we were able to learn more about the dishes from the Chef. If you love Asian foods you will want to taste out the selections available in Asia.
Before leaving for the day, we checked out some of the various wines and beers. I enjoyed the Barone Fini Pinot Grigio the best.
This is my second year as a Busch Gardens & Water Country season pass holder. I am so glad that I made the decision to get my pass. Throughout the year, they have so many wonderful events going on at both parks. Last year I missed the Food & Wine Festival, however, after this years’ experience I am definitely looking forward to next year.
Have you ever been to the Food & Wine Festival? If so, what was your experience like?
