Shauna over at Pickles n Peppers recently tagged me to participate in the 10 Things Your Probably Didn’t Know about me series and I accepted because I haven’t done one of these in a while. When I read other blogs, I love to get to know no more about the blogger so I figured you may feel the same way about my blog.
10 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Me Rules
The rules are simple. The blogger who has been tagged must answer the previous bloggers ten questions and create ten questions of their own to ask ten other bloggers. This series is ongoing and is a great way to get to know more about your favorite bloggers. Now let’s get started and have some fun!
Getting to Know Victoria
What inspires your blog topics: This is something that is a little hard for me to answer since I cover such a wide variety of blog topics on my blog. Overall, I feel that since I am a lifestyle blogger, I post things that are relevant to my life. It may be a product that I have reviewed, some parenting related things that I found useful or a deal or sale that I have come across on the web.
What is the one thing that you have learned while blogging that you wish you could share with everyone: The main thing that I have learned is it is important to interact with your audience. Anyone can type up some content yet if you are not interacting via blog comments, social media, or other avenues, you will not have an audience. Our audiences are who keeps our blogs alive, so it is important that we remain honest with them and communicate with them.

If you could have one meal, one awesomely perfect meal, what would it be and why: The one meal that I would choose would be steak, lobster tail, and a baked potato. I am obsessed with this meal and it is just so delicious.
If you are cooking and have a recipe, do you follow it exactly or do you improvise and why: I love turning to Pinterest for new recipes, but usually I have to customize them to my liking. For example, I don’t eat pork so any time that is used in a recipe I substitute it for a none pork product. In addition, everyone has different tastes when it comes to seasonings.
What is your favorite activity and why: I enjoy Zumba when I have some free time. I think it is a fun way to work out and it actually gives you a great workout. Lately, I haven’t been able to attend any classes, however, once school is back in I can make an AM class.
Which do you use more, a pen or a pencil, and why: I am usually always using a pen. I don’t have a specific reason why but when I write in my planner it just seems better to use a pen.

Do you prefer swimming or laying in the sun or neither, why: Don’t get me wrong, I love the beach and going to water parks. However, I don’t know how to swim and I don’t like laying in the sun either. The sun is just so bright and you’re just all hot, sweaty, and bothered.
Are you neatly organized or sloppy organized, meaning you know where everything is but no one else can find it: When it comes to certain areas of my home, usually it will appear to be neatly organized. Since I work from home, I feel as little OCD kick in if where I can see is junky. I have to clean and organize the living and kitchen each morning so I can make it through work. However, when it comes to closets they are very unorganized. In fact, I was just thinking one weekend this month I need to go in and reorganize my closets.
Are you a thinker or a doer? Why: I would say I am both. I always get things done; however, I also have many ideas that I want to do yet just cannot seem to find the time. For example, I want to write a book for foster kids sharing my story so they can see that they do not have to become another statistic. Writing books takes time, so for now, I have to focus on working on projects that will provide a stable income.
Do you follow many bloggers, Pickles & Peppers specifically, why and what are some of your favorite posts by other bloggers: I do have some blogs that I check each week. I even included a few of them in one of my recent posts. At one point in time, Pickles & Peppers was one of the blogs that I stopped by frequently. However, I think Shauna had some things go on and stopped blogging for a while so I didn’t start following her blog weekly until a few weeks ago.
Honestly, I read a blog post, bookmark it if I want to read it in more depth, and then after I have retained the information from the post I remove it from my bookmarks. Therefore, I cannot discuss any specific posts by a specific blogger. I know Carol Tice has some blog posts that I actually loved because thanks to her I was able to start my freelance writing career. In addition, Louida Martin has some affiliate marketing blog posts that encouraged me to try my hand with affiliate marketing. If you follow me on Facebook, you may see that I share blog posts from Scary Mommy because that is another blog that I love to read.
