For today’s post, we will be having Jerrold from Snap Teach join us to tell us a bit about his company and apps.
Hi Jerrold, what is your background, schooling, years of experience, where do you teach and what inspired you to create the company. What problem in the learning process did you see that your apps solve?
“Well, I grew up in Nebraska and always knew I wanted to teach children. I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a B.S. in elementary education. I also have a TESOL (Teaching English to speakers of Other Languages) master’s from Grand Canyon University. I have 25 years of teaching experience and have taught third grade, fourth grade, title reading and ESL. I created my apps to help children become better readers. I believe my apps spark a lot of interest because the stories pertain to animals.”
Where can they get the apps? Only on the website or in the apps store, too? In addition, how much do they cost and what platforms do they work on? How many apps have been downloaded?
The apps can be purchased through links on snap-teach.com or on I-Tunes by searching for snap-teach and or reading comprehension. Each app is 3.99 and a bundle of the costs 7.99. My apps are all IOS based, however, Android versions will be available soon.
Do you have any quotes from a teacher or a parent? Is the company an LLC, sole proprietor, INC?
Yes, I have a quote you can use. Teacher quote- “My students use these apps in my classroom and they enjoy using them.” Tina Sawyer- second-grade teacher
The company was founded in 2014.
