If you have been watching me on Instagram lately you know that I have been doing more traveling than usual. My boys are growing up. So, now I am able to do more traveling since it’s not such a huge hassle as it was when they were all under three. This summer, I have plans to do even more traveling, which you will definitely see photos from on social media. Today I thought it would be a good idea to share some tips for females that travel and also reveal a new goodie that I received from Moorea Seal this month.
Don’t Over Pack
When I’m traveling alone or with the kids, I take as little as possible so I don’t have a ton to keep up with. If you are anything like me, you probably forget stuff, which is something that I try to avoid doing. For overnight trips that last no longer than a weekend, I don’t even pack a suitcase. Instead, I take a cute duffel.
I am in love with my new duffel bag from @MooreaSeal! While it doesn’t include any inside pockets it is perfect for overnight or weekend trips. I use it for spur of the moment trips as it is easy to pack and doesn’t take up much space. I will be sharing more details about it in an upcoming blog post on #Giveaways4Mom. But, for now, you can check it out on the #MooreaSeal website. http://www.mooreaseal.com/products/strand-duffle #MooreaSealpics

Well, this month Moorea Seal allowed me to test out the Strand Duffel and I must tell you that it is definitely worth the money. While it is small, it allows me to fit at least four outfits inside of it, a pair of extra shoes, and my hygiene case. It is cute too! In fact, what made me want to give the duffel bag a try was the fact that it is small and appealing. What a great choice! This bag is stylish, holds what I need and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Travel Tech Light
While you might need to stay connected while away, as I do, tech gadgets can get heavy. Rather than taking the laptop along, I think it may be a better option to only travel with my tablet and smartphone. I am, however, considering a multi-function device like a smartphone/tablet combination to make it easier on myself.
One thing I have noticed is that there are rarely enough outlets in a hotel room to charge more than one device. I am considering a multi-device charger that uses only one outlet plug so that I have an extra plug for my heating pad or travel massager.
Lighten the Beauty Case
With most airlines limiting the liquids we can take on planes, I’ve found that it’s just easier to buy what I need when I get where I’m going. Full-size, unopened products are heavy and there are ample alternatives available to achieve the same results as when I am at home. Take only what fits in one small, travel-size beauty case. In this compact case, you should only include makeup and applicators, nothing more.
Traveling light is hard as a woman because we have so many beauty products and need clothing options, but with the right accessories, you can make a few outfits look different by changing accessories. Don’t forget to make your packing checklist either, it’s something I almost always forget to do and always end up forgetting something important.
