As you already know I am obsessed with smells. However, with three kids, it’s no secret that it is hard to keep my home clean and smelling good. I am able to manage and I decided today I would share some of my favorite ways to make my home smell amazing.

Candles & Incents
Candles and incents are my two favorite ways to keep my home smelling amazing. I always have to have one or the other burning in my home so there is always some sort of scent floating around. I love going to Bath & Body Works each season to get the different fragrances available for the season to always keep the smell unique. Whenever someone walks through my door one of the first things they complement is how good is smells.
Cleaning is something I am sure most of us hate doing (I know I do), but it is one of the key ways to keep your house smelling good. All of the candles and incents in the world aren’t going to help you if you neglect cleaning a little bit each day. Tasks that I make sure I handle each and every day include:
- Taking out the trash
- Putting down carpet freshener and vacuuming the most used rooms
- Making sure the drain and garbage disposal are clean (you can use baking soda to do this)
- Cleaning my kid’s bathroom (with three boys their bathroom must be cleaned daily)
Once these tasks are done, I immediately notice a refreshing scent from the cleaning supplies, but it also makes sure that no nasty odors (especially from the trash) are lingering around.
I have recently started using the Febreze Air Purifier in my room and I plan to purchase another one for my living room soon. This little device is awesome and definitely worth the investment.
It is easy to set up and you can put it in the corner of your room, pop in the scent pack (lasts about a month) and the filters (lasts about four months) and you are good to go. It has multiple settings for scents and flow and the best part is when it’s on low you cannot even hear it running, so you can let it run throughout the night. My favorite things about using this is it also slows down the amount of dust and when you first turn it on it only takes a couple of hours before you can notice a change in the smell of the air.
If I were to tell you how many bottles of air freshener I go through a month you would think I am insane. Recently, my best friend came over for a day visit, and she said I was obsessed with spraying the stuff. Whenever I relocate to another part of my home spraying down the rooms is a necessity. So, I may be a little obsessed, but with the right air freshener you will become addicted to the smell too.
I find that these four ways keeps my home smelling amazing at all times. The best part is you can implement these into your daily routine without spending too much time or money.
