It’s been a while since I have done a roundup on shows that I am watching currently. I know if you’re like me when your favorite show ends it can be a pain trying to find another show that catches your interest. So, today I am sharing the five shows that I am currently obsessed with on Hulu Plus.
I was turned onto The Catch while searching on Hulu Plus one night when I couldn’t fall asleep. I would classify it as a romantic drama. Watching the back and forth, almost cat-and-mouse-like, relationship, between Alice and Ben. Alice’s main job is to expose fraud and ends up being a victim of fraud herself. Fiancé Ben almost ruined Alice’s career.
The drama is what has kept my attention on The Catch. It’s one of those shows that leaves you looking forward to next week’s episode.
So, John Stamos. Who doesn’t love John Stamos? The previews kind of made Grandfathered out to be corny and predictable. It has been anything but. The writers create scenarios that are those people say “of course that would only happen to me” kind of thing.
After a stressful day, Grandfathered is definitely the show to watch when you really need a good laugh.
Heartbeat is based on a real-life story of a female surgeon, Dr. Kathy Magliato. The storyline includes drama, innovation, pushing boundaries and living life on your own terms. It keeps me interested because it depicts a woman in a male-dominated field of heart transplant surgery and she is really making a name for herself.
What caught my attention with Blindspot is how each tattoo on Jaimie Alexander’s character has a meaning and is a clue to about who she is. She was found nude with no memory of her existence. Every tattoo is a clue to a crime that will eventually provide all of the answers she, and the FBI, have about her real identity and past.
This show really leaves me in suspense. You never really know what to expect as each new tattoo is explored on “Jane Doe’s” body.
When the advertisements for Lucifer rolled out, a lot of controversy came about. Some were wondering why a major television network would allow a show that portrays the evil force (a fallen angel living in Hell) living on earth. Lucifer tries to blend in with society but does so very awkwardly. He’s lived a life of solidarity and has to suffer a major tragedy to learn that he does have feelings and can feel compassion. Chloe, who seems to bring him back to reality easily, has his undivided attention.
I’ll post again soon with my next TV series’ obsessions.
What is your favorite show right now?
