Being a parent can be stressful at times and when the week ends, you may want to just unwind. My boys are growing up now, but I find the weeks are more hectic as each one of them begins their school journey. Mornings and evenings are hectic and on a strict schedule. Sometimes during the week, I barely know if I am coming or going, so when the weekend arrives I love to destress, and today I am sharing five ways that I destress after a long week.Check out these 5 ways to destress after a long week! If the weekend doesn’t zoom by and I am able to have an extra 30 minutes or so, I find myself relaxing in a hot bubble bath. Even if I can only relax for a few minutes in the water, it helps me feel so much more relaxed.
Nail Salon Visit
If I am super lucky to have some free time away from the kids on the weekend, I will fit in a nail salon visit. It is so relaxing being dolled up (especially the pedicures) after a long and hard week of work.
Even though I do read daily with the boys, there is nothing like being able to read a good book and take my mind off reality. This is something that I get to do once every couple of months, but when I do read, it is very relaxing.
Sometimes just laying down and catching up on your favorite show can put your mind to ease. Even if you don’t go to sleep, just not feeling like you are running at 100 miles per hour, can help you feel less stressed. Obviously, having some extra sleep will not hurt either.
Relax with a Hot Cherry Pillow
Hot Cherry Pillows are one of my newest ways to destress. Recently, I was able to try out the Maraschino Square Pillow and I have not stopped using it since it arrived. This pillow is awesome, all I have to do is pop it into the microwave for a little over two minutes and it provides me with a few hours of benefits.
Some days my back may be stiff or it may be a little cool in bed. The Maraschino Square Pillow provides the warmth that may be needed for a variety of situations. I can even use this pillow when I am working and my lower back starts to hurt.
This is definitely one product that all moms need to have. I may even give out a few of these as Christmas gifts this year. The package already comes gift wrapped so you not only get a great gift idea, but you don’t have to worry about wrapping it either.
