School is about to be started in about a month, which means hectic schedules resume. But there’s still a little bit of summer left in Kings Dominion, so it’s time to make the most of it. There are still lots of fun events to attend before summer leaves us and the new school year begins.
Here are my top picks for what you should do at Kings Dominion before summer ends.
There’s nothing like a huge fireworks display to cap off a warm August evening. Kings Dominion still has firework displays available on certain evenings up until September.
Just get on over to Safari Village or Candy Apple Grove and enjoy as the sky lights up.
You can catch them on August 5th, 12th, and the 19th. And in September there are two shows on the 2nd and 3rd so come on over.
I haven’t ever seen their fireworks before. However, I have planned to do an “adult” trip to Kings Dominion this weekend for the BBQ and Brew Fest and may just be able to check them out then. Make sure you keep an eye on my Instagram page to see what good food and drinks I am able to try out.
If you want something to do over the weekend then there’s no better place than the BBQ and Brew Fest. This is the third season of the BBQ and Brew Fest and it’s set to be another fun time for adults.
Enjoy some gourmet burgers and as much meat as you can imagine. Wash it all down with some of the best local craft beers from around Virginia.
Down at Candy Apple Grove, you’ll find the BBQ and Brew Fest lasting for an entire three weekends from August 5th to August 20th. You might even find yourself coming back repeatedly!
I’m going to be attending for the first year this weekend and I’ll be posting photos on social media and of course, next week I’ll be sharing a recap that shares what I was able to experience. It’s been a while since I’ve had a date night/day, so I’m looking forward to this day date!Check out the BBQ and Brew Fest @KingsDominionVA this weekend! #KingsDominion #ad Click To Tweet
The Coaster Campout is the best way to sleep out under the night sky. Enjoy some quality family time as you spend a whole night out in the park. You’ll also get four admission tickets for the park on the 18th and 19th of August. And on Friday night and Saturday morning you’ll be able to take advantage of extra ride times.
When it comes to food Kings Dominion has you covered. You’ll get a meal on the 18th and breakfast on the morning of the 19th. They’ll even give you a late-night snack to go with it.
You’ve got your very own campsite and more than enough time to spend the night away talking and enjoying the night entertainment Kings Dominion has to offer.
Last Word – Lots to Do at Kings Dominion Before School Starts
There are lots of golden memories to be had at Kings Dominion. And in 2017 there’s no exception. You’ll find something to suit every taste and you’ll treasure those memories for the rest of your life.
