What You Need to Know About Bedding

Did you know that the sheets that you sleep on could be affecting the quality of sleep that you get each night? What about the fact that a high thread count does not necessarily mean that you are purchasing quality sheets. Therefore, today I thought it would be a good idea to discuss how to choose the best bed sheets because as moms it is important to get quality sleep when we can so we can be rested to tend to the kids. Now, let’s get started.

Thread Count is Not as Big of a Deal as you think it is

First thing to keep in mind is thread count does not automatically indicate the quality of the sheets. Instead, it tells you the number of threads woven into a square inch of fabric and it is not always 100% reliable. While thread count can play a factor in determining whether you purchase a sheet set, the bigger thing to check out would be the type of material that is used.

Some Materials are Cooler than others

Did you know that the material that your sheets are made out of could cause you to be too hot or too cold at night? Many people go with Egyptian cotton or pima cotton for this reason. However, if you want a more affordable option moisture wicking sheets such as PeachSkinSheets are a great alternative.

PeachSkinSheets has body temperature and moisture management properties, which mean warm sleepers, stay cool and cool sleepers stay warm. They are also ideal for night sweats thanks to the athletic grade performance fabric that wicks away moisture instead of absorbing it like some cotton sheets. In fact, that may remind you of your workout clothes because they are breathable so you are comfortable throughout the entire night.

Go for Hypoallergenic Bedding

My youngest son has eczema and he loves hanging out with me in my bed. However, because of his extra sensitive skin I have to make sure that I stick with hypoallergenic sheets so he does not flair up. While it is true that you can wash sheets numerous times before putting them on your bed, what if I told you there were some sheets you could take out of the package and put on your bed, while also being confident that they are hypoallergenic.

PeachSkinSheets might be your answer.

Peach Skin Sheets

With PeachSkinSheets, they are so soft right after you remove them out of the package. You won’t have to wash them numerous times to “break them in”. I’m so serious about this too. In fact, when they first arrived I caught myself rubbing them before even making my bed because they are just that soft. In addition, you don’t have to worry about washing them before using because they are hypoallergenic, which is awesome for those with allergies, sensitive skin, and eczema. The best part is these sheets are anti-microbial so dust and pollen will not adhere to the fabric and cause aggravation.

Wash Your Sheets at Least Once a Week

I have said many times before that nothing feels better than fresh bedding. This is my main reason for keeping so much bedding on hand. I like to change my bedding a lot, but sometimes I get sick of constantly washing clothes and just want a break from my washer and dryer.

NOTE: Once a week at minimum is suggested provided, you only get into your bed when you are clean. If you go to bed sweaty, after gardening, or whatever, it would be ideal to change your bed more frequently. (Sometimes I change my bed every other day so nothing negative meant by this note).

Washing is a breeze with PeachSkinSheets though. You don’t have to worry about the fabric peeling when drying it, dries in as little as twenty minutes, and they don’t shrink when you wash them. Yes, that means no one and done deal with these sheets.

Purchase New Bedding Once a Year

If you use the same sheets repeatedly, you should replace your bedding at least once a year. When you wash sheets multiple times each month you have to expect standard wear and tear.

You cannot go wrong with Peach Skin Sheets

I have been hearing about PeachSkinSheets for a couple of months now and I was eager to see if they really backed up their claims. I will tell you, so far so good. The sheets are smooth, they fit my pillow top mattress without any issues at all, and they are so comfortable. They have numerous benefits and I love how they do not wrinkle easily too. Overall, PeachSkinSheets is awesome and one of you lucky readers is going to get the chance to try out a set of their sheets for yourself.
