Coffee Ground Scrub for Face and Body

Coffee Ground Scrub for Face and Body

Coffee can do wonders for your skin.  Loaded with antioxidants, coffee can help exfoliate and brighten your complexion.

Coffee Ground Scrub

This is a simple and effective recipe that uses items you probably already have (and gives you something to do with used coffee grounds, too).

Ingredients:

Coffee Ground Scrub

  • 2 Tablespoons of Used Coffee Grounds
  • 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon of Brown Sugar

Olive oil helps nourish and moisturize and brown sugar aids in cleansing the skin and is a gentle way to exfoliate.

Coffee Ground Scrub

Mix ingredients in a sealable container (if you have leftovers you can save and reuse at a later date) using a spoon, Popsicle stick or even your clean finger.  Apply gently to wet skin in circular motions.  Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

I have yet to try using a coffee scrub as a skin-care regimen. It should be effective because I have a male friend who asks for the used coffee grounds from coffee shops. He swears by it and has been doing the coffee scrub routine for year. I love how simple it is to make the scrub.
