This weekend was my first time trying out ground lamb. I was unsure how I was going to make it. My first initial thoughts were to make nachos but I decided to get a little more creative and mix in some potatoes instead.
Thankfully, it turned out good the first go. Therefore, today I decided to share this recipe with you guys in case you’ve been wanting to try out lamb but just didn’t have a recipe.
Ingredients
- Ground lamb
- Salt
- Pepper
- Lemon
- Red potatoes
- Chicago steak seasoning
- Lemon juice
- Tomato
Instructions for Making Ground Lamb and Potatoes
Put the meat in a skillet and cook until it is brown (it takes about 12-15 minutes to brown on medium)

Once the meat is brown drain it
Add in the seasonings, red potatoes, lemon, and tomatoes
Cook for 25-30 minutes on medium (or until the potatoes are to your liking)

If I ate meat, I would definitely try this. It sounds great.
Wow that lamb looks like ground beef. I dont eat meat anymore except for seafood but this looks like it was put together well.
I’ve had lamb chops, but I didn’t know ground lamb was even a thing. I imagine that it tastes the same. I am a meat and potatoes type of girl.
Looks delicious! I’ve never had ground lamb before but I think I may try it!
This looks like a really hearty meal. I’m new to lamb and I haven’t had lamb much, only in my gyros.

I’m trying out some new meat options with the kids over the summer and lamb was our first one. The ground lamb turned out well, however, we’ll probably get around to lamb chops soon enough.
