If you’re looking for the perfect refreshing treat to add to your next small get-together the Hawaiian Shaved Ice Machine – Party Package may be a product you’ve considered purchasing.
It’s compact in size, so it doesn’t take up much space when it’s not being used and provides you with the same quality of shaved ice that you purchase at fairs and carnivals.
The party package is an all-inclusive shaved ice kit that includes the S900A Shaved Ice Machine, two ice molds, 3 1-pint bottles of syrup, 25 spoons, 25 cones, and 3 bottle pourers.
It’s easy to see why people would consider it since it costs a fraction of the cost of some of the other popular snow cone machines.
I recently had the chance to review this home-use shaved ice machine and wanted to share my experience and thoughts with you today.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hawaiian Shaved Ice
Before we get to my review, I wanted to go ahead and cover some of the frequently asked questions about Hawaiian Shaved Ice so my review can cover my experience and personal opinions strictly while also making sure that I’m answering any particular questions you may have about the device in general.
What’s the difference between a snow cone and Hawaiian Shaved Ice?
Snow cones use ice cubes, making the ice pieces larger than the ones used in Hawaiian Shaved Ice.
Shaved Ice is more comparable to snow since it has lighter and fluffer pieces of ice. Plus, it requires using ice molds instead of crushed ice cubes.
Can you use ice cubes in a Hawaiian Shaved Ice machine?
The Hawaiian Shaved Ice Machine S900A comes equipped with 2 ice molds for you to utilize to get the most authentic shaved ice beverages possible.
How does the Hawaiian Shaved Ice Machine Compare To Little Snowie 2?
The first thing to consider is the Hawaiian Shaved Ice is a compact shaved ice machine and the Little Snowie 2 is a professional-grade snowcone maker.
Price-wise the Hawaiian Shaved Ice Machine is the more affordable option.
While both are easy to use the Little Snowie 2 is the better option for spur-of-the-moment frozen treats since it can use standard crushed ice and the Hawaiian Shaved Ice machine requires special ice molds to be used.
Hawaiian Shaved Ice Review
The Hawaiian Shaved Ice Machine – Party Package is a budget-friendly way to add a refreshing treat to summer.
It’s easy to assemble, easy to use, and simple to clean.
The downside though is it’s not really great for spur-of-the-moment use since you have to make the ice using the ice molds.
Upon our first time using it I made 4 molds of ice because with 4 kids I wasn’t sure how many shaved ice cones could be made with one mold. Thankfully, one mold did indeed make four Hawaiian Shaved Ice cones (we didn’t feel them up to the top of the cones though)
All the kids loved how Hawaiian Shaved Ice tasted (yes, even baby Ellie who was trying shaved ice for the first time).
However, making the shaved ice cones wasn’t the most straightforward task. It took around a half-hour, or so, to make 4 of them.
The first several minutes I guess consisted of the machine warming up. We did let the ice thaw for 7 minutes prior as suggested in the instructions, but it still took a while for the machine to start shaving the ice. Also, the ice had to be flipped a few times during the process as well.
The kids were happy with the end result, but they did say they prefer using the Little Snowie 2 because it works much quicker.
Who I Would Recommend The Hawaiian Shaved Ice Machine – Party Package Too
With a bit of prep and patience the Hawaiian Shaved Ice Machine – Party Package is a great budget-friendly frozen treat addition for small gatherings.
Based on my experience each mold can make approximately 5 shaved ice cones (if filling them about 3/4s of the way).
Since it’s not recommended that the motor runs for more than 2 minutes, you probably wouldn’t want to use this frozen treat maker at large gatherings with young children as they’d probably become impatient. Still, for smaller gatherings, it would be a great fit.
