As someone who works from home full time, it’s important that I have a working computer at all times.
Since I began my work at home journey HP has been my laptop and printer brand of choice. Therefore, naturally, I’ve figured out how to get the best deals on their products AND today I am sharing some of my tips with you in case you’re planning to make a new HP purchase.
Shop directly on the HP website
While HP products can pretty much be purchased at any tech retail giant, I find that purchasing directly on the HP website gets me the best deal.
However, keep in mind, this guide is referring to purchasing brand new products vs open box/refurbished, which would obviously be one of the cheapest methods.
I always tend to catch them when they have a sale or promo codes available. Even though I love Best Buy and Amazon, HP is always going to be the better choice.
Plus, depending on your purchase you may qualify for free next business day or two-day shipping. Typically, when I order ink it arrives the next business day and when I’m ordering a laptop or printer it arrives in 2 business days. I never pay for shipping because the free shipping option is pretty quick. (NOTE: Keep in mind that the shipping times may be slightly delayed these days though due to COVID).
Keep an Eye Out For Their Deals
In addition to shopping directly on the HP website, if you’re not making an urgent purchase consider waiting until they have a deal.
Sales typically happen around every major holiday and I’ve seen them discount certain products as much as 60% off.
Check Out Coupon Sites
Coupons are another great way to make sure you’re getting the lowest price possible and major coupon sites such as Slickdeals have coupons available that actually work.
Make Sure You’re Getting Cashback
In addition, to using a coupon code or taking advantage of a sale, it’s important to make sure that you’ve activated cashback for your order to.
The easiest to use legit cashback website right now in my opinion is Rakuten, as all you have to do is fill out your profile so you can get paid and start shopping. They even have a Chrome extension that makes it easy for you to activate cashback offers for any site within their network (they partner with a lot of stores, trust me).
If you sign up for Rakuten right now, you can start enjoying 2% back on all of your HP purchases and a $30 sign up bonus.
Conclusion – You Don’t Have to Pay Full Price When Shopping For New HP Products
I’ve never paid full price for a brand new HP product. With all of the promos, discounts, and coupon codes, there’s no reason why you should either.
Even when you’re making an urgent purchase that can’t wait for a special sale from HP, with these tips you’ll still end up saving money when shopping at HP.
