MISSHA Vita C Cleanser and Ampoule Review

Now that I’m in my 30s I have been putting a lot more effort into taking care of my health – including my skin health.

This year I’ve made it a priority to stick to a daily skincare routine and one brand that keeps making an appearance in my skincare routine is MISSHA.

The latest MISSHA products that I’ve been testing since May 11th are the MISSHA Vita C Plus Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser and Vita C Plus Spot Correcting & Firming Ampule. Since I’m almost to a month of trying them out I decided today I’d go ahead and give my review.

MISSHA Vita C Plus Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser

As its name hint, the MISSHA Vita C Plus Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser is supposed to help you brighten up your complexion by reducing the appearance of dark spots.

You use it as a regular cleanser and in the case of this cleanser, less is definitely more.

Since I do have dark spots on one of my cheeks and my chin from old acne scars, I was excited to try this cleanser.

However, it immediately became clear that it’s not a cleanser that I can use daily as it dries my skin out.

So for now, I’m using it 2-3 times a week and for the other days, I’m sticking with the MISSHA Time Revolution Artemisia Pack Foam Cleanser.

Since I’m not using it daily I haven’t noticed any improvements in the dark spots or any brightening of my complexion. But, I also haven’t experienced any breakouts either.

MISSHA Vita C Plus Spot Correcting & Firming Ampule Review

Vita C Plus Spot Correcting & Firming Ampule

The MISSHA Vita C Plus Spot Correcting & Firming Ampule is a serum that is supposed to brighten and firm your skin.

It can be used for dark spots, discoloration, texture, and even sagging skin that is a result of sun damage, aging, and loss of elasticity.

I have been using this product daily once a day, and like the cleanser, it hasn’t improved my dark spots at all. However, the plus side is it does seem to have firmed my face.

Due to lack of sleep, I’ve been getting noticeable bags under my eyes for about the past three months and since I’ve started using this product and cucumbers daily I am seeing improvements. I started doing the cucumber treatments about 2 weeks after starting this serum so I definitely feel as though the serum has played a part in reducing the noticeability of my eye bags.

Closing Thoughts

Usually, when doing beauty product reviews I like to do before and after photos. I did take before and after photos, but since there is no noticeable difference in my dark spots I decided against publishing them.

While the cleanser wasn’t a match for me, I could see it working for those with oily skin as it definitely will dry all of that up after the first use.

The serum on the other hand, while it hasn’t helped with the dark spots, I am seeing improvements with my eye bags AND it makes my skin feel amazingly soft immediately after applying it and it absorbs quickly SO I definitely highly recommend the serum.
