Good tea can be hard to find. This is especially true if you want a tea that targets certain things such as stress relief and sleep. Plus, you have to factor in how much caffeine is in the tea if it’s something that you prefer to drink throughout the day.
Well, I recently had the chance to try out Prosperatea and I think they are one of the good ones so I decided to share my experience with them with you today.

What is Prosperatea?
Prosperatea is one of the newer teas on the market. Their teas contain high-quality ingredients that are mostly sourced from Mother Nature, which makes them beneficial for your mind, body, and spirit. Plus, you get the added benefit of experiencing the natural healing power of plants while supporting your health in a delicious manner.
Tea Flavors Currently Available
Despite Prosperatea being a fairly new company, you’ll be pleased to know that they have a variety of flavors available including:
- Best day ever
- Super immunity
- At peace
- Good health
As a loyal tea drinker, I was super excited to receive an email from Prosperatea. After checking their website, I felt that the best teas for me would be the Destress Relaxing Tea and the Dreamland Sleepy Tea.
At the beginning of the year, I set a few lofty New Year’s Resolutions/goals for myself and as I get deeper into the home buying process (my main goal for the year) I am finding it to become a bit stressful to meet my deadline and I figured the destress tea could definitely help out. Plus, since we’re still virtual learning in my area for what seems like may end up being for the entire school year my stress levels are high.
With everything that’s going on I’ve also developed this nasty habit of not being able to sleep throughout the night – I’ll wake up around 3 am like clockwork even if I go to bed at midnight – so I figured the dreamland sleepy tea may assist with that.
Therefore, for the purpose of this Prosperatea review, I’ll just be focusing on those two teas since those are the only two I have experience with.
Dreamland Sleepy Tea Review
The first Prosperatea I tried out was the Dreamland Sleepy Tea. I found the packaging to be extremely attractive (for both teas, not just this one), AND immediately upon opening the foil bag I could smell the lavender. Lavender happens to be one of my favorite fragrances and in the past (during my essential oil obsession phase) I would burn lavender oil in the diffuser to help promote sleep for both myself and the boys.
Making the tea is just like any other – you use hot water and let it steep for about 3 to 5 minutes – and then you’re all set.
However, let me warn you that while the tea is steeping the lavender will probably get to you and you’ll already be feeling ready for dreamland before you even take your first sip.
I wasn’t sure how long it would take for the tea to kick in so I decided to drink it about 30 minutes before the kid’s bedtime, so just in case it did kick in quickly I’d make it until after the kids went down.
While waiting, I picked back up on my current book – Midnight Sun (yes, I’m a Twilight series fan lol) – and after only about 15 minutes in I was already starting to nod off.
Overall, I love the Dreamland tea from Prosperatea.
However, upon the first few sips, I did find the licorice flavor to be overbearing and this was even after I added in lemon juice and a tablespoon of sugar. (NOTE: I didn’t drink the tea without these add ons as I always add them to my tea so your taste experience may be a little different). But, after the initial taste shock wore off things were smooth sailing from there AND of course, I was very pleased with how quickly it worked.
In case you’re wondering I slept through the entire night. I didn’t wake up until 6 am the next morning.
DeStress Relaxing Tea
Being a work at home mom of three boys who are currently virtually learning and a puppy my life can get stressful. It seems like there are never enough hours in the day to make sure they’re completing their schoolwork, Hoss (our puppy) isn’t pulling stuff throughout the house, and I’m giving my all at work. Then add in trying to reach my New Year’s resolutions/goals and yes, you guessed it, you have one stressed mama.
Well, the destress relaxing tea was able to easily fall into part of my morning self-care routine.
I enjoy having a nice cup of tea while I check my emails before officially having to start work so I can add in last-minute additions to my to-do list that may have popped up since I called it a day the prior day.
Usually, I do this once the kids get on the bus, but now, since we’re virtually learning, I do it when they log into their morning classes.
Similar to the dreamland tea, the destress tea is made by steeping it for 3 to 5 minutes and once you open the foil you are greeted with an overpowering fragrance.
I’m not sure what I was smelling, but I do know cinnamon was one of the recognizable fragrances. Additionally, the first few sips did catch me off guard, but my taste buds adjusted and everything was just fine.
You Should Try Prosperatea
Overall, my experience with Prosperatea was extremely positive. The teas are definitely flavorful and their dreamland tea is a tea that actually puts you to sleep. I woke up feeling refreshed and the destress tea helped me have a smooth morning.
I highly recommend both of these teas to those who love drinking tea as they easily fit into your daily routine and are the perfect quick self-care treatment that you need.
They also don’t contain high levels of caffeine or any unsafe herbs/herbal compounds so they are even suitable for pregnant and nursing women in most cases.
