Quick kid’s breakfast ideas don’t have to just shuffle between pop tarts, cereal, and oatmeal.
Even though time may be tight some mornings as you’re trying to get the kids ready for school and yourself ready for work, you do have some other breakfast options available to keep them from burning out on certain foods.
Here are some of my family’s favorite quick kids breakfast ideas that don’t involve cereal or oatmeal.
Turkey Bacon Wrapped Eggs with Little Smokies
This recipe does take about a half-hour to make, but once prepped, which only takes about 5 minutes, you can pop it in the oven and finish getting yourself ready for the day.
The best part about this recipe is that it’s something that the adults can enjoy as well, it’s not messy, and also works as a brunch option for adults who don’t like to have food early in the morning.

Stuffed Grilled Cheese
Most kids love grilled cheese. However, usually, it’s associated with lunch.
With a little creativity, you can turn grilled cheese into the perfect quick breakfast idea for kids so they can enjoy a classic favorite with a spin on it at the start of the day.

Waffle and Egg Sandwich
We always keep pancake and waffle mix in the house as pancakes are a great go-to on weekends when we’re low on groceries and grocery pickup is a day or two away.
Plus, waffles and eggs are already a huge hit among the kids.
Therefore, on weekdays, we are able to turn a classic breakfast favorite into a sandwich that can be quickly whipped together (especially for those who use frozen waffles) and don’t take a lot of time for the kids to consume.
Sausage and Tater Tot Casserole
This one does take about 45 minutes to make. However, I consider it a quick kids breakfast idea because you can make it the night before and warm it up in the mornings.
It keeps the kids full until lunchtime and it also works great as a brunch or breakfast for dinner idea!

Pancakes and Fruit
You can never go wrong with pancakes and fruit.
As I mentioned before, pancake and waffle mix is a great pantry staple, as it works wonders when you need a breakfast idea but don’t seem to have enough of one breakfast item for everyone.
In the morning you can easily make some pancakes up and then just add in whatever fruit you have already available.
There Are Plenty Of Quick Breakfast Meals – Just Get Creative
While it can be tempting to just pour some cereal or heat some water for oatmeal when you’re looking for a quick meal for the kids there are other options available. All it takes is a bit of creativity and you can master quick breakfast meals for the kids without making everyone sick of cereal and oatmeal.
