I don’t know about you, but when I was 9 years old, I didn’t have a phone and quite honestly it wasn’t even something I was thinking about having. However, now as a mom of three, I see how smartphones can be a good idea for kids.
My boys have laptops, tablets, and my oldest even has an iPhone. But I worry about them using tech because of all the dangers online and just how the world now is in general.
The good news is since I’ve started using Qustodio I’ve been able to have better peace of mind about my kids using tech.

Qustodio Keeps You in The Loop
Are you on the fence of getting your kid the latest tech because you don’t want the extra responsibility of having to check their devices each day to make sure they’re not doing things they shouldn’t? Maybe, you just want to know what they’re doing on their devices without having to hover over them.
Either way with the Qustodio app you don’t have to worry as they keep you in the loop.
What is the Qustodio App?
So, before we get too deep into the article, I thought it would be a good idea to discuss exactly what the Qustodio app is.
Qustodio is one of the best parental control apps available for iOS and Android devices on the market today that allows you to monitor what’s going on from your own devices for less than $60 per year.
Basically, they allow you to make sure your kid’s devices are safe, productive, and fun with their smart tools.
Qustodio is a parental control app that allows you to feel and BE in control.
You Always Know Their Location
Don’t want to purchase your kid an iPhone to utilize the Find my Friends feature but want to always actually know where they are?
Qustodio can help….
I don’t know if you’ve tested out any other parental control apps before starting your search…but I have.
Qustodio, outside of the iPhone Find My Friends feature, is one of the only apps in 2019 that gives you an accurate location for your kid’s device.
AND when I say accurate, I really mean accurate as it pinpoints you to the exact physical address and not just a general location or nearby address.
This is a great feature for parents who are trying to co-parent successfully.
It’s Easy to Use
Installing the app on my son’s phone was no easy task. However, once we were past those issues it’s been smooth sailing with this parental control app.
Once I had the VPN for Qustodio set up for him I was able to log in via the iOS app for Qustodio via my iPhone and monitor what’s going on. Additionally, I can set rules…such as blocking sites and more.
It shows me how long he’s been on his phone for the day, the exact sites he’s visited AND how long he’s been on them.
Even if your kid does have an iPhone, Qustodio takes parental control to the next level so you can see deeper insights than with Screen Time.
You Can Make Amendments Via the Qustodio App on Your Phone
As I mentioned previously, you can see the sites your kid visits and how long they’re there from your phone.
In addition, to being able to see the app usage you’re also able to block the site immediately if for some reason a site slipped through your parental controls.
Furthermore, if your kid has earned more time to their daily device limit you can adjust that from your device as well.
Qustodio is Worth the Investment
As you can see from this brief Qustodio review, Qustodio is worth the investment if you’re looking for a parental control software for a kid that is under the age of 15.
I would recommend that you install an invisible, AND password protected, folder if installing this on a teenager’s device, as with many parental control apps there are ways to bypass the limitations on Android devices (from what I could tell from my research anyway).
However, for kids 10 and under this is one of the best parental control apps on the market in its price bracket.

a lot to like…keeping track of where your kids are……..time restriction…..very very gd
with 6 kids who all love the internet would be great to be in control of time on internet and keep them safe
It would help in so many ways. I love that it has the exact location. The time limits would be great too.
I do like that it has time restrictions
