Recently I found out that I’m expecting, which means it’s time for me to redo my wardrobe. Over the past two years, I had managed to go from a size XL to Medium and had successfully gotten rid of all of my size large clothes during the spring of 2020.
With my other pregnancies I was able to avoid maternity clothes and thankfully since my third trimester doesn’t start until April I figured that I could avoid maternity clothes, for the most part, this go around by wearing dresses since it’s nice out.
Therefore, when SaleDress.com reached out about working together I was all for it since I’m currently a size large again and figured I could test them out to see if I wanted to get the bulk of my spring and summer dresses from them.
Today, I’m sharing the two dresses that I have received from them so far and my overall opinion of the company with you today.
Who Is SaleDress.com?
SaleDress.com is an affordable online women’s clothing retailer. The majority of their pieces can be purchased for less than $25, shipping only takes 3-5 days and they ship for free if you spend more than $29.
While they don’t have a maternity section, some of their dresses mention ‘pregnancy’ in the description and they also have a wide selection of activewear, two-piece sets, jumpsuits, jeans, and more.
I will admit they don’t have the widest selection of clothes that I found suitable for me to wear during pregnancy, but post-baby I may give their athletic wear a try as I try to get back to my pre-pregnancy size.
Lastly, if you’re someone who is into fashion and are already recommending clothing companies to others consider joining their affiliate program.
The first dress that I received from SaleDress.com was the Sleeveless Rainbow Stripe Print Tie Bodycon Tank Dress.
This dress didn’t mention anything about ‘pregnancy’ in the description. However, I thought it would work since it was said to be stretchy.
Unfortunately, when it arrived the material wasn’t stretchy at all and the dress was much shorter than I had envisioned.
Additionally, I ordered a large, which normally works for my dresses currently, but since the material didn’t have any stretch to it, it was uncomfortably tight from top to bottom.
Based on the fit I think an XXL would have been a better choice, but I’ll give this dress another go next spring once I am back to my prepregnancy size.
Strapless Floral Ruffled Mini Dress
The second dress I received was the Strapless Floral Ruffled Mini Dress. This dress was also ordered in a size large and it was an accurate fit.
The material is very stretchy and it looks exactly like the photo. This is more of a beach or around the house dress due to if it’s windy you’re going to spend way too much time trying to keep the dress down.
As I’m nearing the end of my second trimester I find this dress to be very comfortable and feel as though I’ll still be able to wear it comfortably up until my delivery date.
Since I’ve only received two products from SaleDress.com so far I’m giving them a star rating of 4 stars.
The dresses I did receive shipped quickly from two different locations and they both looked like the photos on the website.
However, for the first dress, I felt that the description was a little misleading since it stated the dress was ‘stretchy’. But, I won’t ding them too badly on that since obviously I’m showing now and it wasn’t labeled as a maternity dress. So there is the chance that once I don’t have my baby bump the dress will fit a lot better.
Regarding the second dress, I absolutely love it.
Plus, since the clothes are all priced affordably it’s not too much of a loss if something doesn’t fit as expected when doing a test order. However, since some of their items are final sale and don’t accept returns I would find it a bit risky to order a ton of items marked with that and then be stuck with something I wouldn’t be able to wear.
Overall, I believe that SaleDress.com is worth giving a shot if you’re trying to update your wardrobe and you’re on a budget. If you’re trying to avoid maternity clothes like me, you probably don’t want to risk it as its a 50/50 chance that the material will be what you’re expecting.
Additionally, to see some of the quality of their other clothing options check YouTube for Sale Dress clothing hauls and you’ll find a few videos where people try on different bottoms, tops, dresses, and jumpsuits, so you can see more of how their clothes fit on different body types.
