Giveaways 4 Mom

SONIC is a brand that believes in giving back to the communities they serve. SONIC’S Limeades for Learning campaign is just their latest effort to support public school teachers and their students.

This is a campaign that’s about giving struggling public schools the money they need for learning materials and to promote the introduction of cutting-edge learning techniques.

So why should you be getting behind SONIC?

Funding Brand New Projects

In 2016 alone SONIC pledged to donate $15 million in funding to public schools by 2021 with the help of Limeades for Learning.

They have teamed up with to help market this initiative. Donors Choose is an award-winning company for marketing causes across the nation.

This partnership has led to the funding of 14,000 new classroom projects. 419,000 students have been supported through fulfilling requests made by teachers for new learning resources and materials.

So what sort of projects have come to fruition because of SONIC’s pledge to Limeades for Learning?

Public schools in low economic areas have it tough. In an increasingly digital world, it’s necessary for students to be able to access the right technology. It’s also beneficial for the environment when schools do away with paper-based tasks.

This project helps schools to provide iPads to all its students. The benefit of this project is that students gain access to the latest teaching materials.

They’re able to use digital tools to enhance their understanding of the subject in question.

Books to Call My Own!

Limeades for Learning

Another Limeades for Learning project is funding the giving of free books to children so they can enhance their reading and develop a love of reading.

Children from low economic backgrounds rarely have access to books they can keep. This project will give children the chance to not only read books but to keep them for their own.

Teachers are able to provide books like Flat Stanley, Dork Diaries, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid to help children with their education now and long into the future.

Can You Hear Me Now?

Limeades for Learning

Studies have shown that children need to not only read they also need to listen. Using all the senses in a learning environment is proven to lead to better grades and a more attentive student body.

This Limeades for Learning campaign will help to rebuild the listening station of a public school in a high crime area.

Children will be able to improve their collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills at the kindergarten level.

My Thoughts on Limeades for Learning

When I was contacted about spreading the word about this campaign I knew it was something that I wanted to share with you guys. As a mom of three boys, I admire all that teachers do, and I know that it’s not always easy when teachers don’t have all the resources that they need to ensure that our children are getting the education that they deserve.

Thankfully, these days, kids have access to more technology in school than we did back in my school days. However, these gadgets don’t come cheap. The good news is Limeades for Learning makes it easy to donate to your child’s classroom (if their teacher participates) or another school in your area and you get the feeling of knowing that you helped make a small difference in a classroom.

Last Word – SONIC is Making a Difference

SONIC is determined to make a difference through projects like these. Their commitment to funding projects like these is providing much-needed help in traditionally neglected areas.

The thousands of students helped will have brighter futures, more opportunities, and a love of learning as a result. And you, too, can help with your donations to Limeade for Learning.
