If you’re a meal planner you’ll easily fall in love with Vermont Wagyu. I recently tried their Grill Master’s Brisket Bundle and it came with enough meat to feed my family of 5 for 4 days.
If you’re utilizing a grocery budget I would recommend using them once every few months, but they have some delicious options that will allow you to spice up your usual meal plans AND not have to worry about cooking dinner each day of the week.
Today, I wanted to introduce you to their brand and share my opinions after my first time trying them.
Who is Vermont Wagyu?
Wagyu beef is considered to be one of the most prestigious kinds of beef.
Vermont Wagyu is a provider of 100% full blood wagyu beef that ships from their farm to your kitchen table.
They are a family-owned business that’s been in business for a few years and their animals are naturally raised with no growth hormones.
What meat bundles do they offer?
You have to place an order that’s a minimum of $100. Therefore, I recommend going with one of their bundles to get the best deal AND also to make meal planning much easier for you for the week.
Here are some of the bundles they currently have available:
- Burger bundle
- Hindquarter bundle
- Family bundle
- Grillmaster brisket bundle (what I tried)
In addition to their bundles, they also give you the option to purchase separate meat items to build your own bundle and gift cards for those who want to purchase a gift for a foodie.
Why you should try Vermont Wagyu
My experience with Vermont Wagyu was very positive. Here’s why I recommend you give Vermont Wagyu a try based on my personal experience:
- Quick shipping: After receiving the order confirmation, the package arrived at my door two days later.
- Bundles make meal planning easier: As I mentioned earlier, the Grill Masters Brisket Bundle was able to last my family of 5 for 4 days.
- Beef tastes great: Everyone was pleased with the quality of the brisket and the burgers. Plus, no one had any problems with meal stretching (leftovers).
- Recipes are easy to follow and readily available on the website: If you’re not sure what to make with the meat, Vermont Wagyu has an entire section dedicated to easy to follow recipes.
About the Grill Masters Brisket Bundle
The Grill Masters Brisket Bundle comes with a medium half brisket and patties designed to be slow-cooked at lower temperatures to extract every last ounce of delicious flavor.
This is a great bundle for anyone who wants to try Wagyu beef for the first time with the whole family.
Plus, when it arrives all meats are vacuum-sealed, which locks in flavor and prevents spoiling. This means you don’t have to rush to cook the meat as soon as it shows up, you can freeze it until you’re ready to prepare it.
Vermont Wagyu Grill Masters Brisket Bundle Review
As I mentioned earlier, I was very pleased with the Vermont Wagyu Grill Masters Brisket bundle. As someone who eats brisket a few times a year, this bundle was right up my alley.
The brisket isn’t as large as the ones that I usually purchase (which allows brisket to be on the menu for an entire week), but the patties definitely made up for that.
We cooked the brisket for 2 ½ hours in the roaster then threw it in the oven on broil to finish cooking it with the patties and everything turned out delicious.
Plus, when the package initially arrived it was packed with dry ice to ensure that everything remained fully frozen to be able to easily transfer to the freezer until it was time to cook.
How Our Meal Turned Out
The first night the kids ended up having brisket, rice, and veggies, while the adults had a burger, rice, veggies, and a slice of brisket.
For the remaining days, we just mixed and matched the brisket with other things such as rice bowls, eggs, and sandwiches.
There were no complaints from the kids about meal stretching the brisket because brisket is one of those meats that you can eat for a week (we’ve done it) and keep the meals different each time.
Conclusion – If You Love to Meal Plan You’ll Love Vermont Wagyu
Due to their $100 minimum order requirement, I feel as though Vermont Wagy is best suited for meal planners. If you go with one of their bundles or build your own bundle you could have a week’s worth of meals ready by just spending a few hours cooking either on Sunday or Monday.
The meat tastes delicious, they have simple to follow recipes listed on the website, and the shipping is super quick.
