4 Surprising Ways to Use Biz Detergent

I have been using Biz as a laundry detergent for the past couple of months and I’ve been very happy with the results. However, a few weeks ago I started exploring with the idea of using it for things other than laundry after I had an incident with my mattress that resulted in me having to clean it by hand. Therefore, today, I thought I would take some time to discuss four ways to use Biz detergent that may surprise you.

Mattress Stain Remover

I love my Nectar mattress and I have been using it for a little over a year without any accidents. However, last week I spilled a glass of cranberry juice on my bed. My first instinct was to just remove the mattress cover and throw it in the wash. Thankfully, the spill didn’t seep into the foam part of the mattress and just got on the removable part.

However, once I got the removable cover from the mattress I realized that I was unaware of the proper cleaning maintenance. Therefore, I checked the Nectar website and found out that the cover couldn’t be machine washed.

The strongest cleaner I have in my house is Purple Power, so I immediately grabbed that and started spraying and scrubbing. This was a huge mistake. It spread the spill. When I went into the garage the Biz caught my eye and I thought about how good it was on stains on the boy’s clothes, so I thought why not.

I used a cap full of Biz detergent and 2 cups of water on the stain and it disappeared like it never happened.

Toy Cleaner

I don’t know about your kids, but with my boys, they get their toys dirty. They like to take some of the racecars outside and then they, of course, must take something with them when they go to a relative for a sleepover. My youngest from time to time likes to put toys in his mouth, which drives me insane because of germs (hello). Therefore, making sure that their toys are cleaned periodically is a must.

To do this I’ll fill a bucket full of warm water and add in a cup of Biz detergent and let them soak. After they have soaked for a while I’ll rinse them off, dry them and then they’re good to go.

This allows the toys to be cleaned while not using harsh chemicals since toys obviously are in close contact with our kid’s skin.

All Purpose Cleaner

Let’s face it. Cleaning products can get expensive and the majority of them have a ton of harsh chemicals in them.

Over this past month, I’ve been able to eliminate some of my cleaning products budget thanks to Biz detergent. It works great as an all-purpose cleaner.

What I do is put in a cup of Biz detergent into a spray bottle with a cup of vinegar and fill the rest with water and I’m good to go. I’m able to use it when cleaning up in the kitchen, the bathroom, and anywhere else that needs to be cleaned.

Clean Sports Equipment

Remember that all purpose cleaner mixture that I told you about above? You can use that to clean your kids’ sports equipment. You know…the helmets and shoulder pads…After a while, they start to STANK, and Biz not only will help with the odor from the cleats, practice wear, and uniforms, but you can mix it with some water and it’ll help with the sports equipment too.
